台灣自從 1971 年退出聯合國之後，就一直被孤立在國際社會之外。然而，台灣很成功地「存活」下來了。是因為她的善於利用世界經濟的發展及全球情勢。台灣在未來仍需要繁榮與永續發展。在二十一世紀開始之際，台灣需要進行她的國際關係。在面對全球化的時代，台灣絕對須要在全世界與其他國家進行談判。就台灣的未來而言，核心重點就是經濟外交，對台灣的成功與繁榮來講是一條捷徑與最好的一個方式。本文乃是有關於經濟外交的決定之作成與談判的過程，而不是經濟政策的內容而已。

Taiwan has isolated from international community ever since 1971’swithdraw from the United Nations. Taiwan, however, survived successfullybecause of her took advantage of world economy’s development andfinancial situation. Taiwan still needs to prosperous and sustainable in thefuture. She needs to conduct her international relations at the start of the21th century.In facing an age of globalization, Taiwan absolutely needs to negotiateother nations in the whole world. It is a focal point for Taiwan’s future thateconomic diplomacy is a short cut and the best way for Taiwan’s successand prosperous.
