〈趙太后新用事〉一文，作者借觸龍與趙太后之對話，成功地表現了觸龍善於揣摩人主之心理，以及善於進諫的才能；並借子義之言，寄託一己之志。「整篇敘述簡潔明快，語言明白流暢，說理雄辯有力，分析細緻準確。這是一篇出色的敘事文，也是一篇出色的說理文，又是一篇出色的人物描寫。」1本論文主要在探析其篇章修辭，從篇章架構下所呈現之修辭特色，體會作者的思想情意與藝術成就。

For the article of “Queen Mother Chao Takes Leader Role”, through the
conversations between Chu Lung and Queen Mother Chao, the author
successfully presents how Chu Lung is good at catching the psychology of his master, as well as his ability of being good at persuasion; moreover, by the speech of Tz Yi, to put his hopes on it for his own ambitions. “The descriptions of the whole article are brief and with clarity, the language used is clear and smooth, its reasoning is argumentative and powerful, and its analysis is detailed as well as accurate. This is an outstanding narrative, also an exceptional
reasoning paper, as well as a superb sketch on people” 37 It is mainly to make investigation and analysis on the rhetoric of the chapters in the paper, and from the rhetoric features presented by the construct of the chapters, to understand the thoughts, emotions, and artistic accomplishments of the author.
