本研究藉由探索全盲夫妻進行家務工作與分工的經驗，彌補原本明眼人知識地圖中完全缺席的領域。本研究主要採取深度訪談及參與觀察的方式，以八對自組核心家庭的全盲夫妻為研究對象，瞭解他/她們如何處理家務工作，例如，採買食材、烹調、添購衣物、服裝搭配、整理清潔等，遇到的困難為何，他/她們所發展出的創意與智慧為何?夫妻如何進行家務分工?研究發現：(一) 全盲夫妻的家務勞動技能是經過不斷嘗試與克服錯誤而累積形成的；(二) 全盲夫妻依其適性及個別化的創意智慧處理家務；(三) 全盲夫妻是以其專長及興趣做家務分工，這有別於明眼夫妻的傳統性別分工。

The aims of this study are at fulfilling the unknown area of the knowledge by exploring the experience of gender division of domestic work in nuclear families formed by totally blind couples. The data is collected via in-depth interviews and participating observation of eight blind couples. It tries to understand how blind couples deal with domestic work, what are the difficulties they encounter, what are the creativity and wisdom they have demonstrated? How do the couples carry out domestic work? The domestic work in question includes shopping for food and clothes, cooking, washing, clean and tidy up etc. The findings are as follows: (1) The blind couple's skills in housework were learnt through constant trial and error by overcoming all difficulties. (2) The blind couples take on domestic chores according to individual abilities and their creativity and wisdom. (3) The division of housework among blind couples is by their expertise and interest, which were different from the traditional gender division of labor among Eye couples.
