英文摘要

Krzysztof Wodiczko applies technical devices and electronic video to his works of art. He includes large-scale slide projection to capture images of viewers to be projected onto arcnitectural facades and adds voice to the space. The artwork increasingly engages viewers, allowing us to interact with the environment around us by applying technical devices to art. The content of his artwork comes from everyday life, social situations, and political themes, with topics that include violence, the homeless, aloofness, immigrants, and refugees among others. The purpose of this article is to analyze the public projections of Wodiczko’s works, from three points of view: “time and space,” “metaphor, narrative, and memory,” and “ encounter with others in art” and to explain the esthetics and special approach of his artwork. This study shows that Wodiczko heals contemporary problems and injuries through his art. His artwork represents the esthetic experience of critique, society, and healing, thereby allowing us to realize a new aspect in this artwork, which is different from traditional art.
