52歲男性，患有大腸癌第三期，經手術與化療後已獲得控制。因長期有嚴重牙周病疏於治療，導致咀嚼功能欠佳，外觀也受影響。經大腸直腸外科醫師的建議，來院主訴為希望製作假牙改善咀嚼功能，臨床檢查與放射線檢查初步診斷患者有全口嚴重慢性牙周炎、多顆缺牙、殘存無牙脊吸收、牙齒病理性位移、不合舊牙冠牙橋等諸多問題，經與患者與其家屬溝通討論後，決定以上顎活動義齒、下顎覆蓋性義齒重建。後續治療先行牙周病控制，拔除無希望之牙齒，根管治療支台齒，之後進行部分齒槽脊修形，等傷口癒合穩定後便進行製作補綴物，恢復患者咀嚼、發音、美觀等功能，患者滿意度高。

A 52 year-old male patient had suffered from colon ca. for 3 years and was under well-controlled medical care. He also suffered from severe chronic periodontitis and had poor chewing function and esthetics. His chief complaint was to fabricate dentures to improve his chewing function. Clinical and radiographic examinations revealed generalized severe chronic periodontitis, multiple missing teeth, resorption of residual ridges, pathologic migration of remaining teeth, ill-fitted crown and bridge. Informed consent was obtained from the patient and his family, the treatment plan of oral rehabilitation depend on maxillary RPD and mandibular tooth-supported overdenture. Further dental treatment include periodontal disease control, extraction of hopeless teeth, endodontic treatment for abutment teeth, and alveoloplasty for edentulous ridge, followed by dental prosthesis. High satisfaction was achieved.
