In Buddhist culture, the Buddhist-connection goods
refer to the emotional interactions among disciples.
The aim of this paper is to discuss the design features of
the current Buddhist-connection goods in the market,
and analyze their design styles through the view of the
cultural and creative product design mode. It is
expected that through the understanding of current
Buddhist-connection goods, it can provide designers the
references when they are designing Buddhist cultural
and creative goods. Through the references and current
status investigation, 47 Buddhist-connection goods and
12 cultural and creative product design feature
evaluation factors are listed. After assessing through
kansei engineering spirit, the factors are sorted by using
weighting analysis method in kansei engineering. The
styles of the goods under 500 NTD can be sorted into
buddhist scriptures, practical functions, undeveloped
and spiritual healing. However, the overall evaluation is
not prominent which presents great room for
development while cutting into Buddhist-connection
product issues through cultural and creative product
design perspective.
