中文摘要

自耦光電振盪器由於能同時產生高重複率之歸零脈衝光與微波時鐘訊號,因此在高速光分時多工整合高密度分波多工傳輸網絡中扮演極重要角色。首先,在局端利用積體化整合之分布反饋雷射二級體及電吸收調變器建構自耦光電振盪器,以產生10 GHz之歸零脈衝光及微波時鐘訊號,進行無須傳統微波訊號源之10 Gbit/s的歸零二相移相鍵控下行傳輸。按著在光網絡用戶單元端,再利用其下行歸零脈衝光載波,以進行強度調變產生歸零開關鍵控來進行上行傳輸,用以完成無須傳統微波訊號源之10 Gbit/s雙向歸零二相移相鍵控/開關鍵控傳輸。研究中得到最佳化歸零脈衝光之脈衝寬、有效品質因數及消光比,分別為16 ps、4 X 10^5 及10.1 dB。此外,也探討了自耦光電振盪器內光纖長反對輸出歸零脈衝光之時基誤差及微波時鐘訊號之相位雜訊的最佳化。最後,在誤碼率需求為10^(-9)條件下,其10 Gbit/s下行歸零二相移相鍵控及再利用上行歸零開關鍵控在背靠背傳輸時,分別具有接收功率為-20及-17.5 dBm之特性,下行歸零二相移相鍵控具有較佳傳輸品質,主要是因為二相移相鍵控對強度雜訊有較強之免疫力。

英文摘要

The integrated DFBLD and EAM based self-starting optoelectronic oscillator (OEO) simultaneously generates synthesizer-free microwave clock and pulsed carrier with ultra low jitter at high-repetition-rate, which has emerged as a key component for the high-bit-rate optical time-division multiplexing communication (OTDM) network In this work, the synthesizer-free 10 GHz return-to-zero (RZ) carriers self-started by the feedback OEO for bi-directional access network with 10 Gbit/s down-stream RZ binary phase-shift keying and reused up-stream RZ on-off-keying data is demonstrated. Optimizing the delay length provides the OEO triggered optical RZ carrier the shortened pulsewidth, improved effective Q-factor and enhanced pulse extinction ratio of 16 ps, 4 x 10^5, and 10.1 dB, respectively. The bi-directional RZ-BPSK and RZ-OOK transmissions using original and reused RZ carrier require receiving sensitivities of -20 and -17.5 dBm, respectively, to achieve a BER of 10^(-9).
