中文摘要

近代學術主要呈現向學術院及專業化的發展方向,學科專業知識
的培養,有賴高等院校設計有系統學科及課程、專業學會的承認,及
學者在學術刊物上發表研究成果,新術得以推陳出新,而二○一二年
剛好是中華民國建國一百年,臺灣政治大學為使民眾「認識中華民國
創立與發展經過,與世人同享中華民國的卓越成就之宗旨,特邀集大
型工作團隊」,執行《中華民國發展史》撰寫工作,整套叢書按「學
術發展」、「政治與法制」、「社會發展」、「文學與藝術」、「教育與文化」
六大範疇,分冊分章詳述一九一二至二○一二年,民國建元至今,政
治、經濟、社會、學術、文化等各方面的發展,其中「學術發展」冊
由王汎森教授主編,分為上下兩冊。而昔日研究及探討民國學術發展
的論著,多談及單一項專科的發展,這些研究成果也多屬於人文及社
會科學發展史的範疇,未如此冊,由多位專家學者合力撰寫一套包舉
民國百年文理、法醫、社會及圖書館學等專業學科的論集,讀者閱讀
此套書可以宏觀及微觀暸解民國百年各學科的發展歷程,各位作者也
成功標舉學術隆興為民族文化的重要依據,尤以近年中國大陸興起研
究臺灣學術風尚,大陸學者可以多閱讀此書,加深及全面暸解臺灣學
術界自成體系發展的特色。

英文摘要

The direction of recent academic trends tends towards professionalism.
Undoubtedly, tertiary institutes play a crucial role in nurturing professionals
of various academic disciplines by developing programmes and courses
systematically, recognising professional bodies, and publishing scholarly
work. While the Republic of China celebrated the centenary of her
establishment in 2012, the National Chengchi University formed a sizeable
team to write and edit The Development History of the Academic Discipline
in the Republic of China, aiming at letting more people know the
establishment and development of the Republic of China and share with
people the Republic’s outstanding achievements.
The Development History of the Academic Discipline in the Republic
of China consists of a series of six books, covering different areas
including: “academic development”, “politics and legal systems”, “social
development”, “literature and arts”, and “education and cultures”. The books
provide valuable information about the development of the Republic in
different aspects since her establishment, from 1912 to 2012. In particular,
the two books about “academic development”, edited by Professor Fan-Sen
Wang, provide readers with both macro and micro views on the Republic’s
development in various academic disciplines through assembling the
viewpoints from different scholars. Through reading these books, readers
would have a more thorough understanding of the unique character of the
academic development in Taiwan.
