為追求學校行政的專業化,本文主張學校行政社群必須雙管齊下,一方面努力於兼顧學校行政管理的技術面及服務關懷的藝術層面,另一方面則透過對「教與學」的服務,努力地與外部環境相關人員溝通,以獲取認同。在結構上,本文首先論述專業的意涵,及其對學校行政專業化的啟示。其次,本文討論為何學校行政仍不夠專業化?其不足之處何在?最後,本文剖析學校行政追求專業化可能的努力方向,包括致力於行政的科學管理、做好服務與關懷的藝術、平衡學校行政的邏輯與藝術,以及透過優質服務及持續溝通與對話,獲取外部社區認同。

英文摘要

For the purpose of pursuing the professionalization of school administration, this paper argued that the community of school administration ought to emphasize the technical and artistic sides of school administration at the same time. In addition, schools must provide high quality service to teaching and learning in order to get supports from the publics. Structurally, this paper first analyzed the criteria of profession and its implications to the professionalization of school administration. Second, it pointed out reasons that hindered the degree of professionalization of school administration. Finally, this paper outlined ways that schools could utilize to increase the professionalization of school administration.
