本文探討小說集《美人尖》中的臺灣鄉野民俗書寫，小說中提及的臺灣民俗可歸納為「婚嫁禮俗」、「喪葬禮俗」、「宗教信仰」、「民間禁忌與地方風俗」及「俗諺謠語」五大類。「擋路」、「潑水」、「哭好命」、「丟扇」、「白虎煞」、「過火盆」、「踏瓦破」、「食新娘茶」、「新娘神」、「遮神」、「覓喪」、「摺紙蓮花」、「徹夜守靈」等臺灣傳統婚喪習俗都可見於小說中。「天公生」、「建醮」、「過火」、各類禁忌、養女風俗、美人尖與額頭叉，以及「洗門風」、「送肉粽」等習俗與儀式，也都在小說中精采展演。而《美人尖》中的臺灣鄉野民俗書寫，對於小說的創作、內涵與定位，則發揮了「推衍小說情節與凸顯題旨」、「塑造人物性格與增強心理描寫」和「建構鄉土想像的藝術空間」的作用。

This study aims to analyze the folk customs of township of Taiwan in the collection of the short stories, Widow’s Peak. In that work, all kinds of the folk customs of township of Taiwan can be seen in marriage, funerals, religious beliefs, taboos and the regionalism of Taiwan, and proverbs. The writing of the folk customs in the work has three functions. The first one is to facilitate the plot and foreground the subject. The second one is to cultivate characters’ personality and reinforce the description of their psychology. The last one is to construct an artistic space full of imagination about the regionalism of Taiwan.
