We describe an 89-year-old man with left kidney renal cell carcinoma (RCC) who had received successful radiofrequency ablation one year ago. The patient remained well during a period of follow-up. Whole body Tc-99m methylene diphosphonate (MDP) bone imaging demonstrated an intense radiotracer uptake in left groin area. We conducted single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT)/computed tomography (CT), in order to determine the lesion of scintigraphy with Tc-99m MDP as diagnostic means. We finally diagnosed the lesion as urinary bladder hernia. Here, we present the unusual case of urinary bladder hernia mimicking metastatic disease, together with a review of the literature.
