《莊子》，道家代表性著作之一，其特色為辭藻華美、旨趣深奧。今以《莊子》內篇為範圍，查得17 則層遞，因此探討其較常使用之形式，以及利用此種修辭方式表達何種思想。據本文研究，《莊子》內篇較常用層遞表現境界之高低，且多為由低至高；其承載之思想涵蓋認清現實，以及修道之目標、要領、過程、境界。從層遞在《莊子》內篇所發揮之功效來看，確實能使讀者感受其文學之華美、思想之深奧。

In Zhuangzi Inner Chapters, be found 17 paragraphs of used the gradational rhetoric, therefore to explore the commonly used forms, and the use of such rhetoric to express what kind of thinking. According to this study, the Zhuangzi Inner Chapters commonly use gradational rhetoric to show high and low of the confine, and are often low to high; The ideas include a clear understanding of reality, targets of seeking “Dao”, essentials of seeking “Dao”, processes of seeking “Dao”, and confines of seeking “Dao”.
