  牛蒡為中國的傳統食品也是中藥材之一。本研究目標為觀察5 種牛蒡萃取物(綠原酸、咖啡酸、牛蒡精煉萃取物、槲黃素與牛蒡苷)對肝癌細胞株(Hep G2 與Huh7)、肺癌細胞株(A549)、乳癌細胞株(MCF7)、胃癌細胞株(TSGH9201)的抑制效應。本研究使用Cell ProliferationKit I (MTT assay) 進行5 種細胞株抑制實驗,搭配SPSS 第12.0 版利用Two-Way ANOVA,並以拔靴法(bootstrap)為輔進行數據整理。本研究結果顯示5 種牛蒡萃取物中僅牛蒡苷有抑制效應,且將Huh7 與MCF7 暴露於23.3 與93.5 μM 的牛蒡苷濃度與其餘4 種牛蒡萃取物相比具有良好的抑制效應。本研究也顯示將肺癌細胞(A-549)暴露於11.6、 93.5 與187 μM 的牛蒡苷濃度均有產生抑制效應,其最佳的抑制濃度為11.6 μM。根據本研究調查顯示牛蒡苷可能具有抑制癌細胞生長的功效,特別是對抑制肝癌與肺癌細胞具有良好之功效。

英文摘要

  Burdock is Chinese traditional food and also recognized as one of Chinese herbal medicines. Our goal was to examine inhibitory effects of 5 extracts from burdock roots including chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, burdock extract, arctiin, and quercitrin on 5 tumor cells of liver (Hep G2 and Huh7), lung (A-549), breast (MCF7), and stomach (TSGH 9201). Cell Proliferation kits for MTT assay were tested for inhibitory effects in 4 tumor cell. Two-way analysis of variations (ANOVA) tests with 2000 bootstrap method were used in the present study. We found only arctiin has to inhibit proliferation of tumor cells among 5 extracts from burdock root. Tumor cells of Huh7 and MCF7 were incubated at 23.3 and 93.5 μM actiin concentrations to get the better inhibitory effect compared to chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, burdock extract, quercitrin at the same concentrations. Inhibitory effects were occurred in lung tumor cells (A-549) when the cells were exposed to 11.6, 93.5, and 187 μM concentrations of actiin and the best inhibition was found at 11.6 μM of actiin. According to our findings, actiin may have inhibitory effects on proliferation of tumor cells particularly for liver and lung tumor cells.
