語言與文字的研究有密切關係，語料庫對語言研究產生很大的影響，形成新的研究領域─語料庫語言學，相較之下，漢字資料庫對於文字的研究，仍然還有許多需要努力的空間。過去，運用中日漢字資料庫，進行的中日漢字比對，多是針對統一碼（Unicode）的漢字，由於缺乏史料的依據，無法呈現中日漢字在異體字上使用的差異，而且將異體字全部壓縮在同一個時間，只從各別的漢字進行比較，難以符合文字研究的需要。本研究結合中日漢字知識庫與教育部建立的異體字字典，有助於充份運用中日雙方的史料，以異體字族和歷時的方式，進行中日異體字比較研究。本論文的研究方法和結果，是目前中日漢字資料庫難以提供的，本研究結合教育部異體字典，從歷時的角度呈現日本漢字的變化用以研究中日漢字相互之間的交流和影響，有助於研究漢字在日本的使用情形，期望對於將來中日漢字比較的方法，以及運用漢字資料庫進行研究等，可以引發新的方向。

In the past few decades, corpora have had great impact on linguistics. However, the influence of Chinese characters database on Chinese Philology is still limited. With most Chinese-Japanese characters databases built on the Unicode encoding system, insufficient characters prevent these databases from being used to compare Chinese and Japanese characters from historical perspectives. This paper proposes a new methodology for studying Japanese variants by integrating the database of Japanese characters with a dictionary of Chinese character variants compiled by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan. This method will analyze Japan kanji in order to study the modification of Chinese characters used in Japan. This paper hopes to
show other researchers how to apply Chinese and Japanese characters databases in studying the comparison of Chinese and Japanese characters. This study not only discusses the database of character variants in the Meiji period, but it also compares the variation of Chinese characters used in Japan. Future research will integrate the database of character variants during Edo, Showa and contemporary time periods, and analyze Chinese characters used in Japan from historical viewpoints.
