從2001年起實施的國中基測，每年約30萬考生，是台灣最大規模的入學考 試，一向為社會大眾所重視，國中基測為了呼應各界的要求，預計於2009年採用 新制的量尺分數計算方式，本文針對該新制的量尺分數計算方式之相關議題，例 如••如何簡化新制之國中基測量尺計分公式、探討每科加20分是否能區分後端考 生的能力、剖析量尺分數之轉換是否為線性轉換、釐清兩次國中基測記分方式及其 等化過程等面向作深入地剖析。本文結果發現：1.98年新制量尺的計分公式，可以 簡化公式以方便社會大眾瞭解。2.須考量測驗難度的條件下，每科加20分才能區分 後端考生的能力。3.在增加題庫難度參數精確度的情形下，才能提高兩次量尺分數 等化的正確性。
最後本文根據上述研究的結果，分別向教育部及國中基測工作推行委員會提出 具體之建議。

The Basic Competence Test for Junior High School Students (BCTEST) which was launched in 2001 is the largest scale admission examination in Taiwan. About 300,000 9th grade students take it before entering high school each year. Since the score performance of the BCTEST is used as a criterion for admission to the senior high school, Taiwan society takes this test very seriously. The past formula for calculating scale scores was changed in 2009. This study discusses the following some topics regarding this about the formula. These topics are formula simplification, discrimination on low achievement examinee, and linear translation and equalization. Finally, this study also provides some suggestions for the Ministry of Education for future revisions of the BCTEST.
