Different from( the traditional wired network or personal communication system(PCS), Ad-Hoc networks consist of a number of mobile hosts each acts as a router to provide routing information as the neighboring host issues a request to communicate with another host. The mobility of mobile host makes the topology of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET) changes frequently. Meanwhile, the routing protocols executing in wired network or PCS system can’t be applied in MANENT.
In this paper, we propose a Cellular Based management model for mobile hosts to construct a stable communication path with fewer flooding messages, better bandwidth management, and smaller number of hops count. We assume that each mobile host equipped with a GPS (global position system) knowing the location.
By applying the proposed management protocols, we select a host as the manager in specific area to take the responsibility of finding communication path and manage the mobile hosts in this area. We compare the Cellulaf Based management model with Triangular and Zone based management models. The efficiency evaluation shows that Cellular Based management has a better behavior in reducing the number of flooding messages and hops count of routing paths.
