本研究目的在於改進傳統石綿鏡檢時,分析員使用眼睛檢視石棉易造成眼睛疲勞的問題, 並提昇分析方法的再現性與分析結果的可靠性。研究中以市售CCD顯微鏡電子目鏡攫取濾紙上 石棉纖維影像,CCD電子影像訊號經由USB纜線傳輸至電腦。利用CCD目鏡的應用軟體,在電 腦螢幕所顯示的石棉纖維影像上劃出100畔直徑圓圈的Walton-Beckett計數視野,並利用軟體中測量直線距離的功能測出影像中石棉纖維的長度,再採用Walton-Beckett計數規則計算出視野 內石棉纖維數目。以本方法檢測AIHA石綿比試樣本,發現結果比參考值略高,但都在可接受 範圍內。本研究研發的分析方法有以下之優點:1.減少人員訓練的時間與勞力。2.由軟體的協 助,能精確的測量石綿纖維的長度與寬度。3.檢測時有確認的標記,並可保存記錄可供追朔, 符合QA/QC與ISO的要求。

英文摘要

This study utilizes a commercial charge-coupled device (CCD) in cooperate with the phase contrast microscope (PCM) for asbestos counting of the ambient air samples from workplace. The CCD electronic image signals were transfered to compute through USB cable. This approach improves the repeatability and reliability of PCM observation by the access of digitalized images of the asbestos samples, which also can eliminates the eye strain, compared with traditional methods where eye observation is performed. A circle of 100-^m diameter was drawn on the computer monitor where an image of filter with asbestos was present. The number of asbestos fibers were then counted base on Walton-Beckett rules. The method was test with the AIHA proficiency test samples and these results were higher than the reference values in general, however they were within the acceptable levels. This method requires less time and effort in training personnel for asbestos counting. With the assistant of computer, this method can measure more accurate dimensions of the fibers. In addition, the electronic records can provide a traceable QA/QC system and the method can fulfill the ISO requirements.
