中文摘要

由B型肝炎病毒(Hepatitis B Virus簡稱HBV )引起的B型肝炎,在台灣以至於全世界都是一個重大 的公共衛生問題。目前台灣地區至少有300萬以上的B型肝炎帶原者,這些帶原者導致慢性肝炎、肝硬化、 肝癌的機會都比常人多上數十倍。儘管一些抗病毒的藥物已被批准可以治療B型肝炎,但它們容易引起顯 著的副作用、藥物依賴性(如干擾素-a )及抗藥性(干安能、阿德福韋和貝樂克等)。因此安全和有效的 新型抗HBV藥物是目前醫療體系所迫切需要的。傳統中草藥(Traditional Chinese herbs medicine簡稱 TCHM)在台灣、中國和世界上的許多地方,都廣泛使用於B型肝炎的治療。目前許多中草藥抗HBV相 關的活性化合物都已被研究報導,其中包括丹參、黃耆、珍珠草、掌葉大黃和黃岑。因此,TCHM在抗HBV 藥物的發展,是一個有潛力的市場。在未來邁向國際認可的過程,一定要建立中草藥品種鑑定標準、萃取 標準化、鑑定有效成分,和慢性或長期毒性的的評估,並且需要應用先進和跨學科的方法與技術,進行更 嚴格的實驗設計和臨床的研究。

英文摘要

epatitis B caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV) , is still a major public health problem in the world. Taiwan has at least more than 3 million hepatitis B carriers, these carriers lead to chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, liver cancer, the chances are several times. Although some anti-viral drugs have been approved for the treatment of hepatitis B, but they easily lead to significant side effects or drug dependent (such as interferon-alpha) and resistant (lamivudine, adefovir, entecavir) . Safe and effective new anti-HBV drugs system is urgently needed. Traditional Chinese herbal medicine ( TCHM ) in Taiwan, China and many parts of the world, are widely used in the treatment of hepatitis B. Many herbal anti-HBV-related active compounds have been reported, including Salvia miltiorrhiza, Radix Astragali, Phyllanthus amarus, Rheum palmatum L. and Scutellaria radix. Therefore, TCHM is a potential candidate in the development of anti-HBV drugs. In the future towards the internationally recognized process, be sure to establish a standard of identification of Chinese herbal varieties extract standardized identification of the active ingredient, and a chronic or long-term toxicity assessment, and require the application of advanced and interdisciplinary methods and techniques, further strict experimental design and clinical research.
