在地老化已是台灣老人社會福利重要政策，但因應在地老化所延伸許多社會 福利槪念的發展，長期以來多隻注重在軟體服務的改善，並未能對老人實際生活 與照顧環境有所助益或改變。因此，如何在建築空間環境的設計上，引入適當的 社區照顧服務的槪念，並加以轉化成爲機構之經營管理者與設計者在籌設老人長 期照顧機構與養護機構時，可以遵循的推動原則，來進行機構的籌設與建物硬體 環境的設計建造，並擬定未來配套之營運計畫與軟體服務，以協助未來進住的老人能在自己所熟悉的社區中老化，並獲得較爲完善的照顧服務，是本硏究所關切的課題。

Aging in place has become an important social welfare policy in Taiwan; however, the development of social welfare perspective focuses primarily on the improvement of basic care services for the elderly instead of drawing a link between environmental support and aspects of quality of life. The current research examines the proper implementation of integrated care services and creation of a supportive environment for the elderly. In order to achieve a better balance between design and management of elderly long-term care facilities, the concept of community care services is incorporated into the design of spatial and built environments for the elderly.
