本研究以國内某大貨櫃航運公司之現成實船做為研究對象,該船於2011年在適當航段之港口,將大出力之貨櫃船主機施工增壓機切除(T/C cutoff)—台之方式,提升主機低速運轉時之掃氣效率,於航行中操作極低減速航行(Further slow steaming),目前實際運作已超過一年。本研究蒐集該船在實驗期間之所有記錄,包括航行摘要日誌、航海及輪機日誌、主機性能報表等資料,比較分析其操作方式及耗油情形。結果顯示消耗大幅下降,證明此種方式確實能大幅降低其油耗成本,若25000海浬之航程皆操作 35%負荷航行,每航次約可節省燃油1003.6公噸,節能效益顯著,大幅節省燃油費用支出,達到海運企業預期營運效果。此外,亦證明其操作能減少機器損耗,包括氣缸套、活塞及活塞環磨損率及增壓機效率損耗等,比所有專業製造廠及海運企業之預期更佳。

英文摘要

One of the leading shipping companies used strategy in cut off T/C of large-typed Main Engine to improve scavenging efficiency at slow steaming, and also strengthened the coordination with operation port authorities for applying slow steaming in 2011. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the strategy. This study collected a series of technical information which relate to the malfunctions as well as troubleshooting of marine diesel main engines under low-loaded operation for a long period. The results show that consumption dropped significantly, to prove such a manner can significantly reduce the fuel consumption cost. Every same distance which is 25,000 nautical miles with 35% of the engine load, each voyage can save about 1,003.6 tones of fuel oil, significant energy efficiency savings in fuel costs, achieve expected operational effect of maritime enterprise. In addition, the results also proved its operations can reduce machine wear and tear, including cylinder liners, piston and piston ring wear rate and efficiency of the supercharger loss better than expected of all professional manufacturer and maritime enterprises. These strategies and policies have accomplished sizable fuel saving and increased revenue successfully.
