劉敞曾經使遼，返回宋國之後，撰有《使遼語録》，記載其使遼往返的行程和交聘活動的情形，但是此一《使遼語録》至今已經失傳了。幸好劉敞所作的使遼詩有被保存下来，而且多達約五十首，使我們得以知道其使遼麵行程的大概情形。本文目隄根據劉敞的使遼詩，對其使遼行程作一些探討。

Liu Chang was ambassador of the Song Dynasty to the Liao country and the author of Shi Liao Yu Lu, a book recorded his embassy-to the Liao and the diplomatic activities between two countries. Although the Shi Liao Yu Lu was lost to the world, the Shi Liao Shi, a collection of fifty poems written by Liu Chang, was well preserved, providing a valuable access to understand certain circumstances of his embassy to the Liao. This article is a primary study of Liu Chang’s Shi Liao Shi and attempts to have a further understanding of his delegation.
