半月板在膝關節的穩定性上扮演著一個重要的角色，若半月板受傷後的保守療法無效’通常會 進行半月板修補或切除手術。在接受半月板切除手術後，因半月板上的機械感受器會同時被移 除，又手術切除半月板造成膝關節受力的生物力學結構之改變，可能會影響膝關節的本體感覺’ 亦可能影響膝關節承受壓力與吸震等功能，進而導致其他功能表現缺失，如肌力、步態與神經 肌肉控制的功能。以上因素皆可能有直接或間接的影響膝功能表現，進而造成退化性關節炎的 早期發生。故本文獻回顧將討論半月板全數切除或部分缺除後對膝關節功能的影響。

Menisci play important roles of stabilization of knee joints anatomically and biomechanically. Once the meniscus was tom, meniscus repair and meniscectomy are the common surgical procedures to be used if the conservative treatments were failed. Part of a tom meniscus would be resected in surgery, and some mechanoreceptors would be also removed. Therefore, the proprioception function of the knee joint and its structure could be affected. The proprioception deficit may result in other functional deficits such as muscle weakness, gait alteration, and neuromuscular dysfunction disorder; all of them could result in premature osteoarthritis and might affect the patient’s long-term knee functions. Hence, the purpose of this review article was to review recent studies and to summarize the effects of meniscectomy on knee joint function.
