背景和目的：近年來，世界各地常面臨不可預知之經濟難題與社會挑戰，而社會經濟狀況又常會連帶影響民眾之心理健康，使得心理健康更加成為一個值得被討論與研究的議題。然而，有別於其他心理健康問卷，測量個人心理健康狀態或情緒波動；在心理健康中常見的正向詞彙「平安」，屬個人之信念，對個人具長期及深入的影響，卻甚少有評估量表之發展。本研究目的為發展平安量表並驗證其信效度，包括效標關聯效度、內部一致性及再測信度。方法：本前驅研究採方便性樣本，以104 位大學畢業之在職碩士班研究生為受試者，平均年齡為31 歲（範圍：23 到48 歲），其中59 位為女性。本研究已通過大學附設之人體試驗倫理委員會認可。結果：本「平安量表」共14 題，採5 點量尺計分，效標關聯效度與憂鬱及焦慮症狀量表呈顯著負相關、內部一致性Cronbach's α=0.8、折半信度、再測信度都呈現出良好的信效度。結論：本量表可反映個人在社會環境下平安感受，並作為對於心理健康影響的指標之一。

Background: Global economic crisis and social issues results in a great impact particularly on mental health to people around the world in recent years. “Shalom” representing a personal faith is a common concept in the psychological area; nevertheless, it has been rarely discussed in research. The aim of this study is to develop and examine the reliability and validity of the Shalom Scale, including criterion validity, split-half reliability, internal constancy, and test-retest reliability. Methods: 104 students of in-service master program were recruited to participate in the study. The mean age of the subjects was 31(range from 23 to 45); 59 were females. The study was approved by the IRB board. Results: The Shalom scale is a 14-item and a 5 point scale. Criterion-related validity of the Shalom scale showed a significant negative correlation with depressive and anxious scales, and Cronbach's alpha = 0.8. The scale presented a good reliability and validity. Conclusions: The scale can reflect the Shalom concept of self peace and self contained and it is available to be utiltized as an indicator for mental health in the social context.
