傳統的視訊監控使用的監控攝影機，因受限網路傳輸頻寬，因此不論是數位或類比，多以固定位置方式架設，並透過實體線路才能將資料量龐大之影像與聲音即時地回傳至中央監控室。近年來由於4G時代的來臨，網路頻寬擴增，促使行動式即時影像傳輸具可行性，因此激發本團隊開發智慧行動保全系統，此系統主要是在行動保全身上配帶移動式視訊監控攝影機，透過WiMAX大頻寬無線傳輸網路將影像與聲音回傳至中央監控室，讓安全監控人員可即時監控保全巡邏狀況並同步錄影，且保全的GPS位置亦可顯示於電子地圖上，一旦發生異常事件，中控室指揮人員能根據現即時場影音、GPS定位，透過網路電話指揮調度附近保全人員進行支援，以增進決策效率。

For traditional surveillance cameras, whether digital or analog, are set up at fixed locations, and the huge data of image and sound is transmitted to the central control room via cables. A new styl e mobile security guard can equip with a portable video surveillance camera. The video and audio are transmitted to the central control room via wireless backhaul via the WiMAX network with large bandwidth. Accordingly, the security personnel can monitor real-time status of security patrols, make audio and video recording, and at the same time acquire the GPS position of security guard showed on the electronic map. Once during the security patrol an abnormal condition happened, based on the live video of th e scene, the commanding officer can command through VoIP, deploy the manpower on the map, and make all the decisions more effective.
