腸套疊( Intussusception ) 是多數兒童中，最難從典型的臨床症狀上做出正確的鑑別診斷例如嘔吐，陣發性疼痛，及果膠性血便等。作者提出此個案為發生率較少之女嬰，而在初期症狀只有腸套疊臨床症狀中的嘔吐和發燒並無出血而延誤了治療的時機。又因嚴重腸阻塞，鋇劑灌腸復位術無法解除腸套疊，因而及時開刀處理。希望借由此個案中臨床症狀的表現能在日後提高警覺並考慮加入腸套疊做為此鑑別診斷。

Typical symptoms of intussusception (abdominal pain, vomiting, and red-currant jelly stool) are not always apparent in children; hence, a diagnosis can be challenging. Herein, we report the case of a young infant who presented with fever and vomiting as the initial symptoms of intussusception. Enema reduction failed due to severe intestinal mpaction. An emergency surgical reduction was consequently performed. Pediatricians should consider a diagnosis of intussusception in any child presenting with fever and vomiting.
