Regular labor physical checkup can monitor employee’s health status and the occurrence of occupational injury. Urinalysis is one of the most essential items for labor physical checkup. In order to increase the accuracy and improve quality of examination, laboratories should establish quality management system for urinalysis, including aspects of management and technical requirement. The ISO 15189 is an international standard of medical laboratory accreditation. And every laboratory should pursuit this goal to be qualified to increase the efficiency. Laboratories should establish SOP for urinalysis examination, which includes personnel, facilities, equipment, pre-analysis procedure, analysis process and its quality assurance, post-analysis process and exam result to meet regulations of ISO 15189, requirements of hospital accreditation and evaluate labor safety.
