心肌梗塞所引起的左心室組織再造是造成心臟衰竭和猝死的原因之一，主要的機轉包括梗塞區域的壞死以及梗塞區域周邊組織型態發生改變所導致。過去有許多治療方式被發展出來，為的都是改善急性心肌梗塞病人的預後。然而最近的研究指出，將幹細胞移植應用到心肌梗塞病人的身上似乎是可行的辦法，只是目前對於此種治療方式仍有相當多的爭議存在。因此本篇文章將簡略地描述幹細胞在治療心肌梗塞的發展與目前仍未解決的問題。

In thepast, diverse treatment modalities were developed to improve the fates of patients with an acuteMI. In recent years, stem cell transplantation has emerged as a potential therapy for myocardialinfarction. Although the results seem promising, controversies remain. In this paper, we brieflyreview the progress and unresolved issues in the management ofMIs with stem cells.
