遊憩體驗之受重視乃因遊憩經營管理之目的在於提供多樣性之遊憩機會以滿足休閒遊憩之需求。然而遊憩體驗並非一簡易明確之概念,Clawson 和Knetsch(1966)提出遊憩體驗是一具多階段性的(multi-phase)觀念架構,並將之區分為五個階段:預期(anticipation)-旅遊計畫階段、旅途中(travel to)-旅行途中階段、現地活動(on site)-到達目地的從事遊憩活動階段、回程(travel back)-旅遊回程階段、回憶(recollection)-前四個階段記憶之回想。本研究藉由靜宜大學學生1999年5月之戶外教學參觀活動加以調查,以瞭解遊憩體驗多階段性之全貌。研究結果顯示遊憩體驗多階段性觀念在本研究中初步獲得實證。不同階段的變化依情緒內容之不同而有差異性,此結果與相關學者所作的實證研究類似。

英文摘要

A major objective of outdoor recreation management agencies is to provide diverse recreation opportunities to the public. Therefore, experience is an important part of recreation management to meet the demand and satisfaction of visitors. However, recreation experience is a complex concept. Clawson and Knetsch (1966) has defined recreation experience as a multi-phase experience, consisting of five major phases: anticipation, travel-to, onsite, travel-back, and recollection. This paper examines Clawson and knetshch's multi-phase experience concept by surveying students of Provance University during a field trip in May of 1999. Results of the study support Clawson and Knetshch's original concept of recreation experience as a multip-phase experience.
