「戶外遊憩研究」創刊於民國77年，以季刊型式發行，至今已發行18卷期，共刊登290篇專論。本文主要目的在分析「戶外遊憩研究」已刊登及近八年所有投稿稿件之退稿率、稿件來源、研究主題、研究分析方法演變等，以瞭解期刊內容之變動趨勢，並依分析結果建議未來戶外遊憩之重要研究課題與戶外遊憩研究之展望。分析結果退稿率逐年上升，顯示期刊對稿件品質要求日益嚴格。稿件來源從早期主要來自森林、建築與城鄉領域逐漸轉變為造園景觀領域，近年更轉而以來自休閒遊憩管理與觀光旅運領域之稿件較多。研究主題方面則以遊憩心理與行為、遊憩資源為主要之研究主題，近年生態觀光及觀光旅運之稿件有逐漸增加的趨勢。研究分析方法方面，早期多為觀念闡述之論述性專論，後來本土性之實證研究逐漸增加，目前實證研究已佔期刊內容極大份量，並以量化研究最多，採用的統計分析方法相當廣泛，近年質化與量化並用的研究也有增加之趨勢。本文亦依據分析結果建議未來之重要研究課題與提升研究品質與深度應加強之重點。

Since Journal of Outdoor Recreation Study first published in 1988, eighteen volumes and 290 articles have been published. The purpose of this article is to analyze those articles published and manuscripts submitted to the journal based on rejection rate, manuscript first author's academic background, themes of articles and methodology adopted. The results show that rejection rate is increasing caused by high quality requested. Main sources of submitted manuscripts shifted from forestry, building & planning, and landscape major to the field of leisure recreation management and tourism. The themes of the articles are mostly related with recreational psychology & behavior and recreational resource research. Articles on the themes of ecotourism and travel study are increasing recently. Besides, there are more local empirical studies instead of concept review articles. As for methodology, quantitative methods are adopted in most empirical studies. The number of studies using both quantitative and qualitative methods is increasing. Based on the findings, some topics need further studied and possible approaches to improve quality of outdoor recreation research are also suggested.
