Carrier aggregation (CA) is one of the main features of LTE-Advanced to meet the data rate requirements of IMT-Advanced, which are 1 Gbps and 500 Mbps for the downlink and uplink transmission, respectively [1]-[3]. In this paper, we describe how to implement a LTE-Advanced system with CA feature on the developed software-defined radio (SDR)-based small cell platform, which is realized using TM500 UE emulator.
