電信服務供應商為了降低布建成本,提出雲端無線接取網路的架構,此架構將MAC層與PHY層功能模組分離,將MAC層功能集中到雲端,再以開放式平台執行,因此MAC層與PHY層模組間控制介面便產生對即時性的需求。本文以低於LTE系統五分之一的subframe時間(0.2毫秒)為目標,提出MAC層與PHY層之新介面,並在x86電腦之開放式平台上模擬此介面,實現Gbps等級之寬頻無線接取。實測控制介面之延遲時間顯示可達數百微秒的即時性,若將來MAC層提前兩個subframe時間運作,則能實現與實體基頻整合之即時性。

英文摘要

In order to reduce the cost of building, operating and upgrading the Radio Access Network (RAN), mobile operators proposed a new architecture, Cloud-RAN (C-RAN), which are performed by open platforms. The proposed separates the functional modules of MAC layer and PHY layer by centralizing MAC functions into the cloud. Thus, the real-time requirement for control interface between MAC and PHY is induced. In this paper, a subframe of length is 0.2 ms, which is one-fifth of LTE systems is considered. A novel design of the interfaces between MAC and PHY is proposed and emulated on x86 computers to accomplish a Giga-bps level broadband wireless access system. In the designated architecture, the measured results of delay time show that the immediacy is up to hundreds of microseconds. Therefore, if the MAC layer operates in advance of two subframe time, the real-time requirement for integration with baseband can be achieved.
