清代詞學不同於明代的特點,是儒家詩教逐步向詞學滲透,詞學與詩學在指導思想上趨於一致,不僅要求打通詩詞之間的文體邊界,而且還主張詞要像詩一樣「發乎情,止乎禮義」,甚至認為較詩有更好的教化效果,它對作者情感的抒發也由個人之哀怨上升為家國之關懷,在表現方法上更是極力地推重儒家詩教所崇尚的「比興」「寄託」思想。
Different from its status in the Ming Dynasty, ci poetry in the Qing Dynasty is gradually influenced by Confucian poetry education and thus its central thought and writing style become identical to those of shi poetry. It is also asked to meet shi poetry’s writing principle “to start from feelings and to end in righteousness” and even expected to have a better moral effect than shi poetry. Ci poetry’s original feature “grief for oneself” is advanced to “concern about the country,” and its main techniques of expression are changed into comparison and feeling expression, which are emphasized in Confucian poetry education.
