本文回顧德國社會學家貝克(Ulrich Beck)極具影響力之｢風險社會｣理論，透過法國社會學者布迪厄(Pierre Bourdieu)之文化社會學視野，並對照台灣社會現狀，反思｢風險社會｣的反身性、媒體功能與次政治等重要觀念。本文指出在我國之社會文化脈絡之中，民眾、媒體與社會運動並不如貝克所期待，對風險有著相對應之認知與行動，遑論扭轉風險結構。筆者認為未來可發展在地化風險社會理論，以期透過教育從根本改變社會風氣。

This article seeks to review influential “risk society” thesis of Ulrich Beck on its central ideas of reflexivity, media, and sub-politics in Taiwan society from the salience of the cultural sociology of Pierre Bourdieu. We find that under the socio-cultural context in Taiwan, the citizen, media, and social movement do not fully respond to risk as Beck expected. Therefore, we call for a need of localizing risk society theory, and the social ethos should be changed through education.
