雷射二極體泵浦的固態雷射是以雷射二極體作為泵浦源,以固態雷射材料作為增益介質的全固態雷射裝置。全固態雷射同時具有固體雷射和半導體雷射的雙重特點,是20世紀80年代末期出現的新型雷射,總體效率至少要比燈泵浦高10倍。由於全固態雷射系統具有高光電轉換效率、高功率、高穩定性、高可靠性、壽命長與體積小等優勢,大大地推動了傳統產業和新興產業的發展。本文針對雷射二極體、雷射晶體材料、運轉方式、紫外雷射系統的現況與趨勢做介紹與回顧。

英文摘要

Diode-pumped solid-state lasers are constructed with laser diodes as pump sources and solid-state materials as gain media to form a type of all-solid-state lasers. Due to the development of high-power semiconductor lasers from the end of 1980s, all-solid-state lasers start to step into the renascent era. Since this new type of lasers posses numerous advantages of high conversion efficiency, high output power, high stability, high reliability, long lifetime, and compactness, they enhance the upgrade of traditional industries and trigger the development of new manufactures. This article makes a simple introduction and review for the fundamental components and UV laser systems.
