The article described five stages experienced by the author in choosing a brand of cochlear implant for his son, who has a profound hearing impairment. The author proposed four considerations in choosing a cochlear implant brand for his son. Finally, the author tried to provide some guidance for parents on how to choose a cochlear implant for children with hearing impairment.
