隨著行動通訊網路的演進, 建置小型基地台以解決日益龐大的頻寬需求為未來的趨勢。因此要如何管理大量的小型基地台是一個十分重要的議題。3GPP 制定了自我管理網路(Self-Organizing Network; SON)機制來減少基地台的建置成本, 現有的自我管理網路(SON)可以分成三種架構: 集中式、分散式和混合式。本篇論文針對建置成本較低分散式架構, 提出群組化機制,把這些分散式的基地台分成不同群組, 並找出群組領導者, 由領導者去協調每一台基地台設定,以改善原本分散式自我管理網路架構的效能。
With the evolution of the mobile communication networks, the deployment of small cell base stations isthe trend to solve the large bandwidth demand in the future. 3GPP develops the self -organizing network (SON)to reduce the cost in deploying a large number of small cells. There are three different architectures inself-organizing network; centralized SON architecture, hybrid SON architecture, and distributed SONarchitecture. In this paper, we propose a mechanism to improve the distributed SON architecture performance.The mechanism includes clustering the distributed small cells and electing a group leader aut omatically. Thegroup leader can leverage the knowledge of all group members and manage the resources of the small cellswithin the group more efficiently.
