本研究旨為設計六套呈現莫內花園系列水波粼粼的景色，復古兼具現代感的造型。而近年來，復古風的時裝越來越風靡！許多時裝都加入了復古的元素，漸漸融入了我們的整體造型，將現代與復古風巧妙的融合。以我們常見的高腰褲、高腰裙為例，已經漸漸的成為時尚的主軸。不只台灣、韓國、日本、甚至由演藝人員所搭配之服裝也都會以復古潮流元素搭配在時裝上，別有一番風味！希望藉由本研究，讓消費者對復古資訊更加了解，也可以再造現代與未來的話題性。所以本研究以顏色較飽和的麂皮布料表現莫內花園系列畫作的景色，並運用網版印花將花朵印製布料上結合服裝的剪裁，使創作有所不同的呈現，另外以活褶與百褶象徵湖面水波紋，因運用麂皮單一材質、圖案及活褶與百褶的結合而增加視覺效果，也表現出研究者的創意及想像，因此取名為摺水印花。
