中文摘要

數學是重要的基礎工具學科,在設計十二年國民基本教育課程總綱時,需要安排多少教學時數,才較為適宜呢?本文從社會各界反對降低數學時數談起,比較我國歷年的數學教學時數趨勢,探討世界主要國家的教學時數,同時亦提供各國提升數學能力之作法,以及提出刪減數學時數恐將造成的影響。最後,析論現實與理想衝突的矛盾,並且提出筆者之主張、省思和質疑。

英文摘要

Mathematics is an important subject of foundation tool. There are many discussions about Taiwan mathematics teaching hours every week in “Curriculum Guidelines for 12-Year Compulsory Education.” In this thesis, the authors focus on the track of Taiwan mathematics teaching hours’ changes in different period, and compare them with other countries. The author then introduces the methods of students’ mathematical ability promotion in other countries, and argues the influence of teaching hours reduction. Lastly, the author analyzes the contradiction and conflict of idealism and realism, carrying his proposition, reflections and questions.
