爲了精進大專院校學生的專業能力,及有效提升大學的教學品質,教育部於2004年訂定「獎勵大學教學卓越計畫」,並確立了教學助理(以下簡稱TA)之課輔制度,推行至今已爲各大專院校之教育注入了一股不可或缺的助力。爲了維護教學助理與學習者之間的良好互動關係,本文根據台灣中部一所教學助理制度規劃完善的大學所蒐集之問卷樣本,調查大學生對教學助理認知和課後輔導期待,探討教學助理的特質,分析教學助理的課輔態度,評估其課後輔導方式,檢視學習者、教學助理和課後輔導之間的互動關係。硏究結果顯示,學生最在乎的是TA的課輔態度,其次是課輔方式。學生對TA和課輔方式的期待符合TA本身對其特質、課輔態度和方式之自我評估。整體而言,TA課後輔導制度對學生和課業都有正面的意義》根據硏究結果,本文建議在徵選TA時,態度需要優先考量,工作熱誠、耐心和關懷可以拉近學生和TA之間的距離。另外,課輔方式也很重要,是幫助課業進步的關鍵之一,必要時應給予訓練,掌握課輔的技巧。以上建議提供學校行政和教學單位參考。

英文摘要

In recent years in order to improve professional competence of undergraduates as well as effectively enhance teaching quality in universities, the Ministry of Education in Taiwan has established a program for promoting teaching excellence of universities in 2004 and has adopted the system of Teaching Assistant. So far the program has already become an indispensable boost to the educational system in colleges and universities. Based on questionnaires collected from a university with a well-planned Teaching Assistant (TA) system in Central Taiwan, the present study aimed to explore the personality of TA, to analyze the attitudes of TA, to assess their methods of afterschool tutoring and to be aware of the expectation of undergraduates on TA and afterschool tutoring. The results show that students care most about the attitudes of TA. Secondly they care about the methods of tutoring. The expectation of undergraduates on TA corresponds to TA's self-assessment on their own personality, tutoring attitudes and methods. Generally, the system of TA means positive to the students and their learning. According to the research results, we suggest that the attitudes of TA be the top priority while selecting TA. Enthusiasm, patience and concern from TA will shorten the distance between students and TA. Additionally, the methods of tutoring are important because they are one of the keys to improve academic performance. It is necessary to train students to master the tutoring skills. The suggestions above are provided to the school administration as well as the academic units.
