本研究旨在探討臺灣第一個由自閉症青少年所組成的樂團——陀螺打擊樂 團(化名),自1990 年初創立至今,其優異的表現享譽於國內外、特教界與身心 障礙團體間,經常成為媒體報導與大家想要進一步了解的對象,為此,本文期望 藉由「敘事研究」的方式,提出該樂團經營發展過程的經驗,供學界、教育界及 民間團體參考。 本研究共選取二位受訪者作為參與者,均為自閉症樂團成員的家長,透過半 結構式訪談進行資料蒐集,並輔以相關文件進行分析。 依據本研究的發現,歸納出如下結論:一、自閉症者過動的行為與情緒問題, 可以藉由樂團持續性的音樂訓練得到改善。二、藉由優異的音樂才能賺取收入, 成為自閉症樂團成員新的職業發展選項。三、樂團的訓練可以培養出成員優異的 音樂表現,對社會具有正向的意義與價值。四、給予自閉症者長期的專業協助更 優於給自閉症者一筆龐大的金錢援助。五、樂團成員優異的音樂表現,讓家長的精神壓力獲得療癒。六、為了爭取演出機會造成成員家長間發生排擠現象,影響和諧相處。

英文摘要

This research has mainly explored Taiwan's first band which was entirely composed of autism youth – “The Gyro Percussion” (pseudonym). This band has been established in the early 1990s. It has been famous among the field of special education locally and internationally. Therefore, this study hopes to share the process of the band's establishment with other researchers, educators and institutions through an analysis of narratives. This research selected two key participants, who are the parents of autistic band members. The methodology of this paper is based on semi-structured interviews and documents.
Findings of this research are summarized as below:
1. Autism hyperactive behavior and emotional disturbances could be improved
by continuous training of music.
2. The members in the band used their talent in music to make a living whichled an alternative choice of career.
3. It is positive and valuable to the society to notice that the outcome of the
training has cultivated excellent musicians.
4. To provide the long-term professional assistance for the autistic is better than
to donate a large amount of money to them.
5. The excellent performances of music by the autistic members has appeared to
be a therapy to their parents.
6. In order to get the opportunity to perform, the parents of the members
generated mutual exclusion phenomenon, which harmed their friendship
badly.
