本文以譙周（201-270）在蜀漢滅亡前夕（221-263）的言論為起點，探討民族政策與地域衝突如何促使了政權的滅亡。諸葛亮（182-234）以及其繼承人一直未有嘗試調和國內不同勢力的衝突，並改以軍事管治的手段處理。所謂南征與北伐，反映了政權在這方面的特點。由這個角度觀察，姜維（202-264）避走漢中、譙周力主投降乃至後主（漢孝懷帝，207-271，223-263在位）放棄南撤等一系列問題便容易理解。

Starting from the opinions of Qiao Chao (201-270), this article examines how Shu Han’s ethnic policy and regional conflicts led to its downfall. Instead of reconciling clashes within the regime, Zhuge Liang (182-234) and his successors chose to maintain control through adopting military rule, which were reflected by the Southern and the Northern Expeditions. Why Jiang Wei (202-264) seldom went to the capital? Why Qiao Chao cried for surrender? Why the Shu Emperor gave up the idea of retreating to the south? From this approach, we shall apprehend these strange acts in an easier way.
