The power models on base station and baseband in LTE are analyzed in the aspect of energy consumption firstly and then the novel baseband energy saving solution based on switching off baseband board, chip or module is proposed, which can decrease the power of the base station in LTE through adaptively adjusting the switch of the component according to the traffic load.
