本研究鑑於國內教養經驗欠缺以視障者為研究對象者,加諸視障者之教養經驗實屬普遍,為豐富教養經驗研究之面貌並提供目前或即將成為父母之視障者參考,本研究採質性研究方法,訪談四對視障夫妻,旨在瞭解其教養困境、因應及在教養過程中的覺察與體悟。研究結果發現視障夫妻有遭遇質疑、欠缺教養楷模、夫妻教養觀不一致、經濟等四種困境,其在處理教養困境上受到視障者自我認同、內在價值觀、社會資源多寡等多重因素影響而有採取消極與積極因應型態之別,此外,視障夫妻均肯定教養經驗的意義與價值性。

英文摘要

The purpose of this study was to understand the difficulties of parenting of visually-impaired couples, how they coped with them and their feelings of being parents. In this study, four pairs of visually-impaired couples were interviewed in depth. Research findings demonstrated their difficulties included discrimination, lacking of parenting models, different parenting beliefs and in a bad financial state. Confronting with these difficulties, they implemented negative and positive patterns of coping. Finally, all participants believed parenting was an enriching experience for them.
