本研究於2012 年以非隨機抽樣方式，透過問卷訪問自答方式，進行台灣地區住宅照明使用 現況調查，包括客廳、主臥室以及餐廳等三個主要居住空間之燈具數量、種類、使用時間，挑選 燈具考慮因素等；自變項部分則列入所在行政區域、住宅之建築類型，室內裝修之發生年代。 調查結果顯示在台灣地區住宅用戶，每戶客廳空間燈具盞數平均值4.3，由於其具備複合用途， 採行「一室多燈」分散的照明方式，同時15.9％之調查樣本已使用建築化照明手法，臥室及餐廳 空間燈具盞數平均值分別為2.4、2.0，由於空間功能明確，仍屬於「一室一燈」之形式居多（占 48.4~54.5％左右）；「室內進行裝修年代」各時期燈具盞數平均值隨著年代有漸增之趨勢，並有 顯著差異，「2011 年之後進行裝修」的樣本顯示，約60％住戶已使用T5 燈管、LED 燈泡。

This study surveys the using conditions of residential lighting in Taiwan area 2012, including quantities, types, selecting factors, and maintenances of lighting fixtures in living room, main bedroom and dining room. Furthermore, this study analyzes the evolution of residential lighting culture in recent decade, but also proposes future development alternatives and strategies for sustainable residential lighting. According to the surveying results, the average number of lighting fixtures is 4.3 in living room, and there are 15.9% of samples use cove lighting in living room. For the bedroom and dining room, about 48.4~54.5% of samples keep using “one-lamp for one-room” type of lighting.
