The purpose of this study is through this dramatic book and dramatic person, Jonah, to explore how the missio Dei could be delayed, and yet God still will not give up His calling of His people to fulfill His plan. The center of mission is not based on the situation of the mission field, nor how rebellious God’s people are, but on the unfailing love of the sovereign God who gives His people opportunities to cross different barriers.
