What is the role of sister in teaching ministry at the church? Could a sister preach on Sunday service? Some Christians hold the view that sisters neither preach nor teach men according to the interpretation of these three passages of the New Testament: First Corinthians 11:3-16, 14:34-35 and First Timothy 2:8-15.
Based upon a deeper study of these three passages, a reasonable conclusion is highly recommended. This conclusion is that sisters, who are manifested with teaching gift, should not be prohibited to teach men as well as to preach on Sunday service at the church. Instead, those teaching-gifted sisters should be encouraged to actively participate in teaching ministry, even to preach for the church congregation.
