臺灣詩人黃純青（1875-1956）歷經清末、臺灣民主國、日據、戰後四個時代，遊走於傳統與現代間的文人。日據時期他與劉克明等創立「詠霓詩社」，參加「瀛東小社」、「桃園吟社」、「瀛社」以及家鄉「樹村吟社」、「樗社」，作品常發表於《臺灣日日新報》等刊物，主持騷壇，恆執牛耳。戰後創立「薇閣詩社」參與「心社」，首創全國詩人大會。晚年於「晴園」讀書種梅，擬編年譜、詩草、文存，後僅成《晴園詩草》上卷，由龍文出版社將其手稿影印發行，收為「臺灣先賢詩文集彙刊」之一部。其手稿作品由其子黃得時捐贈予臺灣文學館。本文擬從黃純青參與詩社活動，比較其於日據與國民政府兩時期的表現，加以對照研究，探討於不同的環境，其內在思維與應世之道及其翩翩文采的詩人圖像。

Experiencing four time-periods, including the late Qing Dynasty, Taiwan's Democratic Country, the Japanese Occupation, and the post-war Taiwan, Huang Chun-Qing (1875 to 1956), a Taiwanese poet and literati ranged between the traditional and the contemporary era. During the Japanese Occupation, he founded "Chant Ni Poetry" together with Liu Keming and other poets, took part in "Ying Tung Small Club", "Taoyuan Poetry Society," "Ocean Society", and "Shue Poetry Society" and “ Yuen Club” in his hometown. Many of his works were often published in "Taiwan Daily News" and other publications. He constantly dominated the local literary field for a certain time. After World War II, he established "Vega Poet Society", attended “Heart Club”, and first set up the National Congress of Poets. Living at “Sunny Garden” in his old age, he read, planted plum trees, compiled chronicles, poems, and documents, but only completed the first volume of “Sunny Garden Poetry” whose copy of the manuscripts was issued by Longwen Publishing House. It was collected as part of “Taiwanese Former Scholars’ Poetic Collection Archive". The manuscripts of Huangchun Qing were donated by his son, Huanday Shee, to the Museum of Taiwanese Literature. Through the research of Huangchun Qing’s participation in the activities of poetry clubs, this article is to compare and study his behavior between the periods of Japanese Occupation and Chiang-kai-shek’s KMT Government s. In this way, it is supposed to explore the said poet’s intrinsic thoughts and how he adapted the trend in different environments. Also it helps understand his literary achievements and elegant image.
