《詩經說義》是康有為學生蔣貴麟自中央研究院近代史研究所典藏遺稿微捲中檢錄出來，重新排版發行，號稱康有為唯一存世的《詩經》學專著。然而經過比對後發現，《詩經說義》幾乎是抄錄魏源《詩古微》而來。由《詩經說義》的這批材料來看，其中抄錄《詩古微》的模式，像是資料整理、謄錄。所以，《詩經說義》的來源與性質應該是康有為為了研究需要，命令門人弟子抄寫整理而來。其中少數更動增益之處，應是抄寫資料時的字句錯誤，並沒有隱含微言大義於其中。

Kang, You-wei's student Jiang, Gui-lin, from the microfilm collection of manuscripts of the Institute of Modern History at Academia Sinica, sorted out Shi-Jing-Shui-Yi. This book is Kang You-wei’s only publication on The Book of Songs. However, we find that the Shi-Jing-Shui-Yi is almost reproduced from the documentation and transcription of Wei-Yuan’s Shi-Gu –Wei. Shi-Jing-Shui-Yi should be what Kang, You-wei, for the purposes of research, ordered his students to compile together. The differences between Shi-Jing-Shui-Yi and Shi-Gu–Wei should be some typos without any special significance.
