前燕是魏晉南北朝時期由慕容鮮卑所建立的國家;而拓跋氏亦屬於鮮卑民族的一支，前後建立了代及北魏政權。慕容氏所建的前燕與拓跋氏關係建立甚早，在《魏書‧序紀》中已記載雙方多次的來往，其中包括朝貢、聯姻及信使的往來等。本文旨在探討慕容氏建立前燕的過程，以及與拓跋氏所建立的代政權間的交往與婚姻等關係，並對史料相關記載的漏誤之處，加以釐清及補正。

The Former Yan was a state of Xianbei ethnicity and founded by Murong family during Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties. Tuoba was a clan of the Xianbei people and they established the state of Dai and Northern Wei Dynasty. The Former Yan and Tuoba had already established diplomatic relations quite a long time ago. In the Book of Wei had recorded several contacts between each other, including paying tribute, connecting by marriage, and making contact through messengers. The main purpose of this paper tried to investigate the interaction and marriage relations between the Former Yan and Tuoba. Besides, some overstatements and errors in the historical documents of that period were also clarified by the author.
