It was a great experience to watch the migrating of Oriental Honey Buzzard (Pernis ptilorhynchus) while attending the Raptor Watch 2011 at Tanjung Tuan, Malaysia . According to the research group’s observation data, a total of 11,905 raptors were recorded during March 12- 13, 2011. Among them, 11,671 (98%) were Oriental Honey Buzzards. The others were: 196 Chinese Goshawks (Accipiter soloensis), 21 Black Bazas (Aviceda leuphotes), 15 Grey-faced Buzzards (Butastur indicus) and 2 Peregrine Falcons (Falco peregrinus).
